The name Classic Fireplace has been synonymous with quality products and service for over 35 years. Originally founded and operated by the Willoby brothers, out of a converted house in Pickering, Ontario, the business was relocated to its current location in 1995 by one of the brothers.  Classic Fireplace has always been a family affair.

In 2003, I purchased Classic Fireplace.  With time on my side and the energy and commitment required to grow a business, I have never looked back.

In 2005, I opened a Classic Fireplace showroom on Queen Street in the Beach of Toronto, and in 2010, I opened a third Classic Fireplace showroom in Whitby. Now three locations strong, Classic Fireplace is growing faster than ever, thanks to my great staff and the quality product lines with which I have chosen to align Classic Fireplace.

Owner, Joshua Malcolm - My Personal History:

When I was only two years old, my parents started a small side business out of our family garage called “Nestleton Stove Works”) This was the start of it all…

A few short years later my father left his factory job to sell, service and install fireplaces and woodstoves full time. He moved out of the family garage, rented a space and moved the business into the town of Port Perry, Ontario.  Over the next ten years he expanded his business to include three retail locations that he still maintains today - a large distribution network for the popular Napoleon fireplace brand that spans a good portion of South Eastern Ontario.

From as far back as I can remember, my life has revolved around the hearth industry.  I began making service calls with my dad as a young boy and I gradually moved on to work with the installation and service crews as a young man.  By the time I left for university, I had learned all facets of the industry.

After graduating from Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario, I returned to my father’s shop where I organized his warehouse and helped computerize his distribution business.  At that time, Classic Fireplace came up for sale.

The “big city” shop to the west of us seemed like a logical business move on my part.  With a little help from my dad, Classic Fireplace became mine.

Turns out, people in the “big city” like small town service.

Please come and visit my showrooms.  Come and meet my staff and give us the opportunity to show you what sets Classic Fireplace apart from our peers. I know you will not be disappointed.
